Gambling in Canada is a provincial matter, and in 2026 the map changed more than in any year since Ontario opened its market.
Ontario
Ontario has run a licensed private market since 4 April 2022. iGaming Ontario contracts the operators and the AGCO regulates them. If you live there, only iGO-licensed sites may serve you, which on this list means PlayOJO, Jackpot City, Betway, Spin Casino, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, LeoVegas and Casino Days. AGCO standards forbid advertising bonuses in public channels, affiliate pages included. That is why choosing Ontario in the picker above hides every offer. Casumo closed Ontario registrations on 1 April 2026 and shut accounts on 14 May; Wildz left in October 2025.
Alberta
Alberta opened its own regulated market on 13 July 2026, with the AGLC as regulator and the Alberta iGaming Corporation signing operators. Unlicensed sites were given until 13 October 2026 to withdraw. The bonus-advertising ban was copied almost word for word from Ontario. Brands from this list on the approved roster are PlayOJO, Jackpot City, Spin Casino, Royal Vegas, Ruby Fortune, Betway and Casino Days. LeoVegas has said it will not apply. The AGLC updates its operator list weekly, so check it before you register.
Quebec
Loto-Québec still holds the monopoly, and its old Espacejeux address now redirects to the Loto-Québec portal. The province's 2015 law that would have made internet providers block offshore casinos was struck down in court. During the September 2026 campaign both the Liberals and the Parti Québécois backed a licensed private market, and the PQ won a minority government on 5 October. No bill has been tabled yet. Offshore casinos continue to accept Quebec players from age 18, but a dispute goes to their foreign regulator, not to a Quebec body.
The other provinces and the territories
British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan rely on PlayNow sites run by their Crown lotteries; New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador share ALC.ca. None licenses private casinos, and residents use offshore brands at their own risk. Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut have no online casino of their own at all. The legal age is 18 in Quebec, Alberta and Manitoba and 19 everywhere else.
